My Love Of Music

I love when Ms. Lady plays her music. It is always so soothing. I didn’t know what exactly the sounds were, but she calls it music. I always hear her say how much I like it. And I do! The sounds make me daydream and eventually put me to sleep. I wake up sometimes with my nose pressed up against the keyboard and my paw in between the pages of a notebook.

If I could tell you what some of my favorites are I would, but I’m still figuring that out. It’s hard to tell what song is playing. At first, I wasn’t sure how the music would come on, but I knew Ms. Lady had to be there. This led to a very serious problem for me, because sometimes she is at work and I’ll want to listen to the music when she’s away.

Have To Find The Song

It was time for me to give it a go! I decided one day this past week to paw around with all those little buttons from the keyboard. I laid on them, rolled over, walked on them until…voila!!! (Yes, I know a little French, too). I could hear the music! It was so exciting to get it to work all by myself! So now I know that if I lie on the keyboard, paw around the keys and roll over them, a little music eventually plays! She is always so surprised when she comes home and I am listening.

Coal, you are too funny!

Then there are times when the little light on the noise box is not on and no matter how much I paw at the keys, lie on them or roll over, there is no sound. When that happens, I wait around until she goes to sit at her desk, and I’ll jump in front of her on the desk and give her head bumps until she puts on some music. She always does, and then I lie down and shove a book or two out of my way. Sometimes she will also put the music on for me and leave me be to take a nap and have the desk all to myself. I am so happy in that moment and nothing else seems as good as the sounds I’m listening to – not until I get hungry, that is!
